How weight conversion works
Every weight unit can be expressed in kilograms, the SI base unit of mass. Convert to kilograms first, then divide by the destination unit's kilogram value to get the answer.
Worked example
To convert 154 lb to kilograms: 154 × 0.45359237 = 69.85 kg.
To convert that back to stone: 69.85 ÷ 6.35029318 = 11.0 st (= 11 st 0 lb).
